“Wouldn't It Be Nice” to live in Mike Love's stunning Lake Tahoe estate? Well, now's your chance as the Beach Boys co-founder, 85, has listed his nearly 19,000-sq.-ft. property for $43 million.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee has lived at the home for more than four decades, according to the listing held by Keller Williams Everett's Jeannette Harpole.
In the beginning, the estate was used as a “fully integrated recording studio,” where much of Love's work was created. Eventually, it was converted into a full-time residence shared by Love and his wife, Jacqueline Piesen.

The estate is set within six acres of protected land that offers gorgeous 180-degree views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada.

The Incline Village, Nev., home, boasts 10 bedrooms, 12 full bathrooms, and three half-baths. The main level features a large great room framed by floor-to-ceiling glass and retractable doors opening directly to the terrace and lake. The kitchen, dining area, and outdoor spaces all face the lake to take advantage of the views.

The eight en-suite bedrooms span three floors and most come with their own private balcony. The primary suite occupies its own wing and comes complete with dual baths — one on stone and steam, the other a soaking tub — a sun deck and private coffee bar.

The property also houses its own private theater, wine cellar, tasting room, game room, poker room and fitness center. The lower level is considered a “self-contained environment for recreation, work and restoration.”

Outside, a pool and 10-person hot tub are perfect for entertaining. There's also a custom trampoline, playground and even an ice skating rink on the upper lawn.

Now that Love's eight children are all grown up and out of the house, the family has opted to sell the home and look for something smaller near Lake Tahoe, according to the listing agency.

Love co-founded the Beach Boys in 1961 with his cousins Brian, Dennis and Carl Wilson and friend Al Jardine. They signed with Capitol Records in 1962 and released their debut album, Surfin' Safari, that same year.
Since the band was formed, the group has sold over 100 million records worldwide. They accumulated four Grammy nominations and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy in 2001.
