Billy Joel's tribute concert was a star-studded family affair!
The "Piano Man" icon stepped out to Carnegie Hall in New York City on Thursday, March 12 for a sold-out tribute concert in his honor, presented by Michael Dorf. Superstar Pink and her 14-year-old daughter Willow Sage Hart were among the notable celebrities in attendance, while Joel's daughter Alexa Ray Joel sang her father's song "This Night."
The tribute concert was led by Billy's longtime musical director and keyboardist David Rosenthal and also featured performances from Rob Thomas, Train's Pat Monahan, Natalie Merchant, Gavin DeGraw, Rufus Wainwright, Yola, Wyclef Jean and more.

"It was an incredible honor to celebrate Billy Joel’s extraordinary songbook at Carnegie Hall and to have Billy himself in the room for the evening," said Dorf in a statement.
"Seeing so many remarkable artists come together to interpret his music — and witnessing the audience’s response — was truly special," continued Dorf. "What makes the night even more meaningful is the impact it has beyond the stage, helping support music education programs and ensuring the next generation of musicians has the opportunity to learn, create, and be inspired."

Beyond 40-year-old Alexa Ray's rendition of "This Night," the event saw Yola open with "Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song)," while Thomas sang "Vienna," Monahan performed "She's Always a Woman" and Wainwright delivered his take on "Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel)."
Other performances included Merchant with "Allentown," DeGraw with "Big Shot," Jean and students of the Music Will nonprofit with "My Life" and more. Andrew MacMahon of Jack's Mannequin gave a sing-along performance of "Piano Man" toward the end fo the show, which closed with a full-cast encore of "You May Be Right."

The Carnegie Hall concert, along with a sold-out live rehearsal at City Winery New York on March 11, raised over $225,000 for music education initiatives.

Pink, 46, and Willow Sage were photographed with Billy at the event. The mother-daughter outing happened weeks after a source told PEOPLE that Pink and her husband Carey Hart separated after 20 years of marriage. The “Just Give Me a Reason” musician later refuted a breakup.
