CBS' long-running 48 Hours is launching a new podcast and video series for which PEOPLE has an exclusive trailer

The series, 48 Hours: Case by Case, will explore high-profile cases including those involving murder suspects Luigi Mangione and Nick Reiner

It is set to premiere April 17 on YouTube and other streaming platforms

CBS' long-running true crime program 48 Hours is launching a new podcast and video series that takes a closer look at major criminal cases unfolding today.

According to the trailer — an exclusive of which was shared with PEOPLE and can be watched below — each episode aims to break down what’s happening in significant cases, why they matter and what developments could come next, whether it’s a high-profile trial or a newly revived cold case.

48 Hours: Case by Case highlights several cases, including those involving Luigi Mangione, who is accused of fatally shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson; Nick Reiner, who is charged with the murders of his parents, Hollywood director Rob Reiner and Michelle Reiner; and Duane “Keefe D” Davis, whom prosecutors allege orchestrated the 1996 killing of rapper Tupac Shakur.
