Charli XCX showed off her toned legs in a pair of micro shorts and glossy, peep-toe heels on July 24.
The “Money (That’s What I Want)” singer paired the itty-bitty hot pants with an off-the-shoulder top and a $3,200 bag by Yves Saint Laurent.
Charli wore the monochrome look to a pop-up event in Los Angeles celebrating the release of her seventh studio album, Music, Fashion, Film.
Teeny-tiny micro shorts are having their moment, and Charli XCX just dropped her elevated take on the summer fashion trend.
On July 24, the “360” singer celebrated the release of her seventh studio album, Music, Fashion, Film, with a special pop-up event in Los Angeles. Sticking true to her monochrome color palette despite the scorching summer heat, Charli arrived in an all-black outfit consisting of itty-bitty micro shorts and an off-the-shoulder top.

In place of denim shorts, Charli donned a pair of black hot pants with gold button finishes along the waist. Her asymmetrical top and single slit sleeve added another dimension of intrigue to the minimalistic ensemble.
She styled the outfit with dark shades, peep-toe pumps with a glossy finish, and a $3,200 Yves Saint Laurent shoulder bag with a silver-tone chain strap that matched her watch-band bracelet. From her heels to her designer bag, Charli nailed this elevated twist on the classic shorts and T-shirt combo.

For her glam, the Grammy-winning artist opted for clean, natural makeup and a French manicure that complemented her baby-blue pedicure.

During the album celebration, Charli sat down with film director Gregg Araki for a live YouTube panel discussion about film and creative inspiration. Notably, Araki directed Charli in the upcoming erotic comedy thriller I Want Your Sex, set to debut in theaters on July 31. With her new album top of mind, the “Wink Wink” singer also revealed how she recruited legendary director David Cronenberg—known for his contribution to the horror genre—to deliver a spoken-word monologue on the closing track, “No One Lasts Forever.”

In June, the “Wink Wink” singer served up another simple yet eye-catching take on a wardrobe classic. On her way out of the BBC Radio 1 studio in London, Charli rocked a figure-hugging LBD paired with hot-pink crocodile stilettos.
