Installed as Vogue‘s head of editorial content, Chloe Malle seems to be taking a leaf from Anna Wintour’s book in terms of delivering us both the expected and the unexpected. Wintour and Meryl Streep served as unforeseen (yet much-welcomed) cover stars earlier this year, whilst Aryna Sabalenka was also an unanticipated cover girl back in May. Another surprise is that of Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez surfacing on the digital Summer 2026 cover of Vogue. The newlyweds posed for the photographer Juergen Teller for the occasion, on location in Portugal (to which the bride wore custom Gucci by Demna).

“WTF? LOL,” exclaimed a dumbfounded Kimy Jo upon checking out the cover.

“I think about his story with Daria [Werbowy] years ago. Much more glamorous than this. Are they at a conservative convention?” questioned Lola701.

“WTF is this? Oh, it’s Juergen Teller, but still, just terrible!” declared thenewclassic.

“No problem with either Ronaldo or Rodríguez, but this feels more suited to a magazine like Hello! as opposed to American Vogue. What downgrades this, dramatically, is the photography from Juergen Teller. It all seems very awkward, solemn, and glum for such a celebratory occasion like a wedding. Never been a Teller fan… ever!” vogue28 exclaimed.
