Lawrence played Bernard “Beans” Aranguren on the Disney Channel series from 2001 to 2003

He tried his hand at a "Renaissance Faire" category

Steven Anthony Lawrence is back on the small screen for a chance at some major cash.

The Even Stevens alum, who played Bernard “Beans” Aranguren on the Disney Channel hit series from 2001 to 2003, made a rare game show appearance on Wednesday, May 20 as he joined host Rob Lowe on The Floor.

The quiz series follows 100 contestants as they face off in duels on a "giant LED floor divided into a hundred equal squares, each representing its own field of knowledge," per a synopsis. The overall winner scores a grand prize of $250,000, with daily winners potentially scoring $20,000 in the process.

For his part, Lawrence, 35, stepped up to the plate and faced off against fellow contestant Morgan in the "Renaissance Faire" category — given that he's previously played an elf and taken on a few character roles throughout his career, he said.

In a clip shared by TV Insider, Lowe asked Lawrence to name his "favorite role" he's ever played.

"My favorite was definitely Beans from Even Stevens," he said, as the studio audience applauded.

Lawrence's other acting credits include Cheaper by the Dozen, The Cat in the Hat and Kicking and Screaming. Per his IMDb page, he most recently voiced a character in the animated series, Kabu in 2026 and appeared in a 2022 episode of Bad Therapist.

As for the game-show appearance, Lowe asked Lawrence and Morgan to name the "item, activity or character" they'd find at a "Renaissance Faire," with whoever wins being closer to the potential $20,000 prize (as well as the show's grand prize). The Floor then presented them with a handful of related images, including a "queen," "archer," "knight" and "turkey leg," with Lawrence holding his own.

Eventually, according to TV Insider, Lawrence won the duel and secured 17 pieces on the game floor. He then faced off against another contestant named Anthony in the category of “Global News," a duel that sent the Even Stevens alum packing.

Per the outlet, Lawrence isn't the first actor to appear on The Floor, as he follows Brian O’Halloran, Eric Lloyd, Dyllan Christopher and others.

The Floor, which is currently in its fifth season, airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Fox.
