Fans of actress Hayden Panettiere were stunned upon seeing her latest update, as the Scream star debuted a bold new hairstyle in gorgeous photos.
The 36-year-old connected with fans on Instagram to share the fun reveal, beginning the caption with the statement, "New hair, new bling." The photos showed off both the new hair color, a striking red, and her new diamond earrings.
Panettiere went on, "I lost my favorite earrings on the set of Nashville, and now I finally have a new pair! Thank you @robbinsbrothers and congrats on the opening of your beautiful new Pasadena showroom! #diamonds #diamondsareagirlsbestfriend."

In the snaps, Panettiere posed with her new ginger hair styled in waves, while she also flaunted her earrings, which included a big pair of diamond studs along with other cute pieces.

Fans Were Thrown for a Loop With the New Hair Color
Fans took to the comments to share their reactions to the new look, with many noting how different Panettiere looked.

Panettiere has been experimenting with her hair a lot lately, including a fully curly style and a bold pink and green look.
One fan wondered if the hair change was for Scream 7, coming out in 2026, but filming for the movie was already completed at the start of 2025. Panettiere is not officially confirmed as reprising her character Kirby Reed, although she appeared in the previous movie, Scream VI, in 2023.
Some actors who have been officially confirmed as part of the cast of Scream 7 include Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mckenna Grace, David Arquette, Matthew Lillard and more.
Panettiere's next confirmed project is a thriller called Sleepwalker, which is set to hit theaters in January.
