Indiana Fever fans couldn't contain their distaste for the officiating in the Indiana Fever's 99-89 win in Game 2 over the Las Vegas Aces.
Game 2 ended controversially for Caitlin Clark, who fouled out of the matchup on what some believed to be a questionable call. The Fever superstar scored 27 points, dished out 15 assists, and grabbed seven rebounds in her 33 minutes of action before she fouled out.
On social media, fans decried how Clark was being officiated, in the same game that saw Aces superstar A'ja Wilson confront a fan on the baseline, which led to its own set of reactions.

“The WNBA refs are terrible! They never give Caitlin Clark the benefit of the doubt and have fouled out the most popular player in the game while playing at home in a critical playoff game,” a wrote on social media after the star picked up her sixth foul against the Aces.
A second added: “A’ja Wilson just threw Caitlin Clark to the floor, got Clark fouled out, then Taunted over her body, & the same refs that kicked the fan out didn’t care."
A third believed that the officials conspired against the Fever superstar to get her removed from the game.
“This league allowed these refs to foul out Caitlin in a close out playoff game and at least 4 of them were straight up BS Investigate the refs," the fan claimed.

After the game, Clark admitted to reporters that she was just "pouring into" her teammates as she was forced to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines. "I had full belief in them, and Kelsey [Mitchell] came up with a big free throw," she began to the media after the win.
Clark also spoke of the officiating, which she believes could be more consistent, especially considering the magnitude of the game for both teams fighting for their playoff lives.
"[Aliyah Boston] had the big bucket on A'ja, which was a foul that the refs were really struggled with tonight. It's really confusing at times," the 24-year-old continued.
"I think like I looked up at the free throw count and before Kelsey got fouled and shot the four free throws at the end, I think we were at 18, and they were at 34. Like it's just - it's so inconsistent.

"And you call an offensive foul on me and then I'm getting hit the same way on the defensive end. And it's all a foul on me. Like, it doesn't make sense. Like they just have to be better. It's the playoffs, like either call it all the time or don't, but be consistent. It is what, that's what it is."
She concluded by stating that the inconsistent officiating "didn't bother" the team as they look ahead to the pivotal Game 3 in Las Vegas.
"We just persevered, fought through," she said. "Thought we were really good on the defensive end of the floor. It was always next play, next play, next play. And that's kind of what I tried to do when I fouled out of the game, it's just gather the girls and, and tell them what we needed to do to execute and to win. And they did that."
Game 3 between the Fever and Aces is on Oct. 1.
