Glen Powell better make space in the spotlight for his parents!
The actor, 36, opened up to PEOPLE at the Chad Powers premiere on Sept. 25 about including his mom Cyndy Powell and dad Glen Powell Sr. in the new Hulu series. After years of making appearances in nearly all of Glen’s projects, he says his parents are getting “better by the day.”
“They're fearless at this point,” he quips. “I would say that they're probably the greatest beneficiaries of nepotism that have ever happened in Hollywood. They are. They really expect it now.”
He continues, “They're having a good time, and one of the things that gives me the greatest joy is having them on set. Having my friends and my family along for the journey is literally — it keeps it from being a job for me.”

They even came to support their son at the Los Angeles premiere, and Glen reveals they were “wearing the Chad Powers jerseys as we speak” while they hung out with the cast.
The upcoming sports comedy, which premieres on Sept. 30, follows a disgraced college quarterback (Glen) who disguises himself as “Chad Powers” to revive his career.
Earlier this week, Glen explained on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that his dad makes a cameo as an Ole Miss coach standing on the sidelines (alongside Eli Manning), and his mom plays “moaning woman,” who goes to the hospital with no apparent symptoms of injury besides her moaning.
While the couple have no formal acting experience — Glen Sr. worked as an executive coach while Cyndy was a stay-at-home parent — Glen has made a tradition out of making them extras in almost everything he does.
During a conversation with Interview Magazine in 2016, the Running Man star shared that his mom “loves being on set.”
"Now she’s like, 'Glen, what’s my role in this movie?’” he joked.

Throughout Glen’s career, Cyndy has played an adult spy in Spy Kids 3, a lunch lady in Everybody Wants Some!! and a professor at a party in Jack & Bobby. In the 2022 Korean War film Devotion, both Cyndy and Glen Sr. were in a scene as a couple walking on the beach.
In his 2023 hit rom-com Anyone But You, Cyndy and Glen Sr. played airline passengers.
"The funniest part about that scene in general is that my dad's the real Method actor,” Glen told Entertainment Weekly. “He's stone-cold asleep. He's the Daniel Day-Lewis of sleep acting. There was not a false beat in that performance.”
He continued, "My mom is across the aisle and gets the ‘I'll have what she's having’ When Harry Met Sally moment. She gets an iconic look in that scene. She came in and killed it. I was very proud of both of them."
The pair also appear in a rodeo scene for their son’s 2024 movie Twisters.
