The actress and honoree of the night wore a 241-carat tourmaline necklace decked in pearls for the outing, which she attended alongside her husband, Taylor Hackford

Mirren's accessory was designed by Margot McKinney, who also did her 400-carat-plus necklace for the Cannes Film Festival

Helen Mirren is making a regal entrance into awards season.

The Thursday Murder Club star, 80, was honored at the Golden Globes Golden Eve event on Jan. 6 and wore a selection of jewels by Margot McKinney that matched her glamorous night.

Mirren, who received the Cecil B. DeMille Award, wore the fine jeweler's Bloem Collier that radiated with eight tourmalines weighing at 240.56 carats, part of which can be attributed to the 65.85-carat center gem. Also included is a blinding arrangement of 27 large Australian South Sea baroque pearls, with white and brown diamonds and a mix of blue, pink and purple sapphires, along with pink tourmalines, amethysts and rubellites piling on the sparkle. All gemstones are set in 18K yellow gold.

According to the company's website, the necklace, named after the Dutch word for flower, was one of four created by designer Margot McKinney for her debut exhibition at the TEFAF Maastricht fair in 2025.

To make her look dazzle even brighter, Mirren added Margot McKinney's Rosette Pearl Ring made with an Australian South Sea pearl, diamonds, and pink, orange and purple sapphires on 18K gold.

Styled by Lee Harris, the actress wore a custom baby pink Stella McCartney gown with a cinched pleat at the waistline. An Ahikoza purse and Sole Bliss shoes completed the look.

Alongside Mirren was her husband, Taylor Hackford. The director wore a traditional bow tie and suit for the couple's rare public outing.

There have been many times before that Mirren has showcased her love for bling on the red carpet. The most notable: Her arrival at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.

For the premiere of the Colors of Time that May, the Oscar winner was the crown jewel in an eye-catching Margot McKinney necklace adorned with a 241-carat cushion-cut green beryl followed by a more oval-shaped 109.48-carat one, in addition to a 65.72 aquamarine stone. Twenty-nine Australian South Sea pearls also made the accessory a stunner.

Speaking with PEOPLE in December at the L'Oréal Paris Women of Worth 2025 event, the global ambassador said she wants to be remembered for something more meaningful beyond the word "beauty" when it comes to her personal aesthetic.

“I don't like the word beauty. I've always preferred the word swagger. So my legacy would be: 'She had good swagger,’ “ Mirren said.
