Meghan Trainor knows you just can't win with online critics.
"They're getting louder. There's more of them. Dude, it's crazy," she said in an Entertainment Tonight interview released on Nov. 12.
"I’m literally – for the first time ever, after having babies – taking care of my health to the highest level and I've never felt better and I look incredible. I feel great," the 31-year-old continued. "And that's when people attack me?"
The "All About That Bass" singer has been open in recent years about her weight-loss journey, which includes a regular strength-training regimen, maintaining a healthy diet, and diabetes medication Mounjaro.
"I was like, 'Wait a second, I'm taking care of myself. You don't like it? OK. So what am I supposed to do?'" Trainor added. "I have to find a way to not be affected by that."
In her new song "Still Don't Care," off her upcoming album "Toy with Me," she sings: "Said I was too thick, then I got way too thin/ And I try to stand out, but I wanna fit in."
Trainor opened up in a Nov. 13 102.7 KIIS-FM interview about how a gestational diabetes diagnosis pushed her to focus on her health.
"Everyone's just being like, 'Why are you thin now? You were 'All About That Bass' girl. I was like, 'I was 19 when I came out with that song', and I've been on a fitness journey," she said.
Meghan Trainor was "confused" by negative feedback to her "thinner" appearance.
"It started with when I was pregnant I had gestational diabetes. And I was like, 'I've got to learn about health and fitness. If I want to tour forever, I've got to be at my strongest – [also] if I want to lift my kids from their crib and not pull my back."
Trainor also clarified that her new single was written to inspire herself, even if she can't completely tune out negative feedback.
"I got a lot of hate for being thinner, so it confused me and rattled me. So I wrote the song 'Still Don't Care,'" she said. "I do [care]. But I use songs like this to manifest how I think in the future, like 'All About That Bass.'"
In her Entertainment Tonight interview, Trainor admitted her journey hasn't been easy.
"Learning how to eat healthy is a science. If everyone knew how to do it, everyone would do it. It is so hard," she said.
Going gluten and dairy-free for five months with the oversight from a nutritionist "has fixed so many things," she admitted, explaining she had a "leaky gut" as well as irritable bowel syndrome.
In a March Instagram post, Trainor revealed she'd started using Mounjaro after her second pregnancy with Barry, 2, and added that "I’m so glad I did because I feel great."

Meghan Trainor: Breast augmentation was 'the best choice I ever made'
Trainor also underwent breast augmentation surgery at the beginning of 2025 and hailed it as "the best choice I ever made" in an interview with USA TODAY.
"I'm always singing about loving myself, and it got harder and harder with all the scars and stretch marks. And then after losing weight, too, these boobs were just purely empty, just flat and just felt like skin on my body," she said.
When she decided to insert Motiva SmoothSilk Ergonomix 290 Mini implants, her therapist was "so stoked."
"That's how I feel we should support women when they're making changes for themselves, instead of, 'Why are you doing this?'" Trainor said. "This is all about me. This is what I wanted. It had nothing to do with my husband or what anyone else thought. I want to be confident in my clothes and look down when I'm taking a shower and go, 'Yeah, those are my boobs.'"
'Freedom' Alyssa Milano opens up about her breast implant removal
In recent years, the Food and Drug Administration has warned patients about the potential risks of inserting breast implants, which include capsular contracture — scar tissue that squeezes an implant — potential rupture of the implant, cancer of the immune system, and Breast Implant Illness.
