The rivalry matchup between Ole Miss and LSU had a little more fire this week. On Tuesday, Landry Kiffin — the daughter of Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin — seemingly announced a relationship with LSU linebacker Whit Weeks.

At the time, Lane Kiffin cheekily said to "Take the over" on the game after the news dropped. And on Saturday, after the Rebels beat the Tigers 24-19, Kiffin took the time to lavish in the win, and troll his daughter's boyfriend.

"We believe in our players, we go for it on fourth down a lot, and glad to make plays," Kiffin said postgame, before adding: "I'm looking for Whit right now to see if we covered the over."

Kiffin stayed relentless against LSU postgame: In addition to calling out Weeks, the Rebels coach posted a page, labeled "In-season opponent report," that showed a quote from LSU head coach Brian Kelly from an interview with the school's in-house radio station on Thursday.

The quote, in full: "We're looking forward to it. We're going to keep that Magnolia Trophy right here in Baton Rouge right where it deserves to be and our guys are excited for the opportunity."

Clearly, as Kiffin knows well, that wasn't what happened.

Kiffin's brashness comes after a gutsy end to the game, when Ole Miss — up five with less than two minutes left — went for it on fourth-and-3. Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss was able to connect with tight end Dae'Quan Wright to keep the drive alive.

Chambliss had run the ball out of bounds on the previous down despite Kiffin's sideline gestures, leaving Ole Miss short of a first down. But the fourth-down play worked perfectly to secure the Rebels' victory — and Kiffin's bragging rights.

"Trinidad made up for running out of bounds," Kiffin said postgame.

Saturday's victory marks the third time Kiffin has won the Magnolia Bowl in his six-year tenure, and just the third time that Ole Miss has won it in the past decade.

Overall, Kiffin's Rebels outplayed LSU on nearly every front on offense: racking up almost twice as many yards, converting eight of 16 third down attempts and gaining more yards per play. But a number of costly turnovers, including an interception and a fumble, got the Tigers within one score before Ole Miss was able to hold out for the win.
