It might have just turned into spring, but we’re already looking forward to the summer—when Olivia Rodrigo’s third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, will be released. And we know what we’ll be wearing.
After completely wiping her Instagram account and leaving several little clues about the color scheme, content, and typeface of the forthcoming project around London and Los Angeles, the singer gave us an exciting update. Issued today, April 2, the announcement came with a title, date (June 12), and an album cover.
In the cover art, a smiling Rodrigo is seen swinging upside down, kicking her feet up into blue skies in a playful, childlike manner that does a pretty good job at capturing the high-highs of falling in love.

Styled by creative duo Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo, who have worked with the GUTS artist since her debut album cycle, the team picked out a little light-pink minidress with a white sailor collar and matching buttons. The ’50s-inspired piece was worn with calf-high socks and platform Mary Jane pumps.
The sweetest detail of the look, however, was slightly hidden. Underneath the dress, Rodrigo wore mini white briefs from L.A.-based independent brand Rat Boi, embroidered in pink with the word “love.”
“Last fall I […] got an urgent request to customize embroidery on some underwear same day for a top secret project,” Rat Boi founder Alexa Coughlin shared on her Instagram stories, along with a photo of her original design ideas. “This morning we can finally share this project!”

Rat Boi offers custom embroidery on a handful of products, including camis, bodysuits, and, of course, briefs—so you can match the princess of pop while you get in the pink-album spirit.
