The senior royal stepped out on Thursday, March 5, for a visit to the U.K.'s city of Leicester to mark the celebration of Holi alongside members of the British-Indian community. In a cream dress with a pleated skirt from Ralph Lauren, Kate opted for layers, adding a Chris Kerr coat, which has popped up in her wardrobe before. She paired the look with a light brown suede heel.

For accent, she donned Sézane’s"Dina" earrings and Emmy London's "Natasha" clutch, according to W Magazine. Atop Kate's blend of ivory and cream clothing, she wore a vibrant red "mala," which she received upon arrival, made of roses and pearls.

During the visit, Kate stopped by Bobby, a family-run Indian restaurant on Leicester's storied "Golden Mile." She also met with worshippers during a visit to the Shreeji Dham Haveli Hindu Temple. There, she ditched her heels and took part in a dance.

Holi, a Hindu festival, is celebrated during the final full moon of the lunar month of Phalguna; it usually falls during March. It is celebrated by different strains of the diaspora throughout the world.

Prince William not in a 'calm state' amid Andrew arrest, he says

Kate, riding solo for her visit, has ramped up public appearances recently. She appeared alongside husband Prince William at the BAFTAS in February, as well as for a visit to Wales, before also being spotted at the Guinness Six Nations 2026 match between England and Ireland.

Her steady presence in the media, especially notable following a battle with cancer, seems part of a larger strategy to project calm amid turmoil for the royal family. British police arrested William's uncle, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the former Prince Andrew, on Feb. 19 on suspicion of misconduct in public life. He has not been charged with a crime and has denied wrongdoing.

King Charles III, William's father, previously said in a statement that he learned of Andrew's arrest with "the deepest concern." For years, Mountbatten-Windsor, 66, faced scrutiny over his past friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
