As per Page Six‘s sources, Sarah Ferguson wanted friends to support her 2021 romantic novel to be made into a TV or film project. A friend stated, “She was asking for some of us to push for [her novel] ‘Heart For A Compass’ to be presented to networks and streamers.” The former Duchess of York envisioned it “as their ‘next serious hit,’ as a cross between ‘Bridgerton’ and ‘The Crown.'” The pal further alleged that the author “had it rewritten and repitched.”
Moreover, Ferguson was looking for contacts “to take on the project,” but “everyone was very cautious.” The project was reportedly pitched to networks in 2023. A source said that after executives at Netflix, HBO, and NBC passed the project, the author was trying the “last Hail Mary in Hollywood.” All of this reportedly happened before Ferguson and her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, were caught up in controversies.

A source claimed, “Fergie wanted people who have worked with her, or social friends, to go in to bat for her.” They further added, “She wanted some of us to actually vouch for her with businesses, media companies and some non-profits.” This would have “not only assure them she was being misrepresented by” the controversy, “but [that she] herself was some kind of ‘casualty of wrong doing.”
Recently, it was reported that Ferguson isn’t feeling remorseful after Andrew’s alleged arrest. Friends told the Daily Mail that she now sits, “in the depths of despair,” following the arrest of her ex-husband. One friend shared Ferguson “doesn’t appear to feel is remorse for what has happened.” The pal continued, “She just wants this to all go away and allow her to get on with her life. Her head is in the sand.”
