Tay Lautner is opening up about her decision to share her pregnancy news.

During the latest episode of The Squeeze, the expectant mom, 29, who is married to actor Taylor Lautner, 34, opened up about how "scared" she was about sharing her pregnancy with the public. In the solo episode, the soon-to-be mom admitted that she's never shared anything this personal on the internet before, explaining how "sacred" privacy is when you are in the spotlight.

"I've never shared anything this personal with the internet before. And I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about it," she said, adding that she knew that she wanted to share her pregnancy with the public. "With our wedding, I didn't really share much about it. I didn't really share anything leading up. It was kinda just, we were engaged. I think I may have shared a little bit, maybe about like a save the date, something I had designed. But aside from that, I really didn't share anything else."Tay added, "And part of me is obviously very thankful that I did that because being married to someone that is in the spotlight, [and] your privacy, I've had to learn, is something that is almost sacred."

She went on to note that the mental toll that being pregnant has on her and other women is what pushed her to share her pregnancy news.

"I thought I wouldn't be doing my platform justice by not sharing about it because I talk about mental health all the time. So I wanted to do that," she explained. "Now I don't know exactly everything I'm going to share. And I just ask that you guys respect that, please. But I will be sharing stuff a lot."

Due to her husband's fame, Tay said she was "scared" that someone was going to find out she was pregnant and leak it before she and Taylor had the chance to share the news themselves. The soon-to-be mom said it was "exciting" to be able to tell the world when they decided to share the news, adding that the positive response they received from posting it was "definitely overwhelming."

"I can't explain the response from us posting. I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't that at all," Tay said. "My phone that day was blowing up like crazy, and I've just never experienced anything like that before. And it was definitely overwhelming.""I was not expecting that kind of love, and it really just it was so it was overwhelming in a good way, but it also put into perspective how precious this pregnancy and this baby is," she continued.
