Teen Mom alum Tyler Baltierra is supporting his wife, Catelynn Lowell, amid her weight loss journey.
In an Instagram post shared on Sunday, Nov. 1, Baltierra, 34, praised his wife for her hard work losing 30 lbs. He included side-by-side photos of Lowell, also 34, wearing the same Halloween costume before and after her weight loss.
“Can we just take a moment to acknowledge how beautiful my wife is!? She’s down 30lbs & I’m so beyond proud of her!” Tyler captioned the photos, which showed Lowell wearing a witch costume, several years apart. “This is what we should all be talking about in regard to our Halloween photos.”
“I love you babe @catelynnmtv & you’re always the most beautiful to me! 🥰🤩😘 #MyBabe #Soulmate #Queen #SexyWitch,” he added.

The day before, Baltierra shared a family photo that also featured Lowell in her purple and black witch outfit.
“🎃👻 HAPPY HALLOWEEN from The Baltierras! 👻🎃,” he captioned the photo, which also showed himself dressed as the comic book character Nightwing, the couple’s 11-year-old daughter, Novalee, wearing a Stick Man costume, daughter Vaeda, 7, dressed as Pennywise from Stephen King’s It, and 4-year-old daughter Rya in a witch costume.
While Lowell has not spoken publicly about her health or fitness journey, she has been candid in the past about body-shaming.
In 2023, she shared that she would never let a romantic partner speak about her body in a negative way.
“If I was ever being body-shamed or called out of my name in front of my kids, I would be gone,” the Teen Mom: Next Chapter star said during a 2023 episode of the Virtual Reali-Tea podcast. “Because I don’t want my children to think that that’s okay to be treated like that. So that’s kind of why I get angry.”

Earlier this year, Lowell also spoke out after social media users made critical comments about her eldest daughter, Carly — whom she and Baltierra placed for adoption in 2009 — after photos from her prom celebration began circulating online.

“So I saw recently that a certain page — pages — are stealing Carly’s pictures from prom,” she said in a May TikTok video about her 17-year-old daughter.
“First of all, I don’t agree with it. I think it’s ridiculous,” she continued. “Second of all, why do grown adults feel the need to comment on children’s and minors’ bodies?”
“Saying that she looks like a skeleton, or she needs to eat cheeseburgers, or she’s too skinny. [My daughter] Nova gets the same crap. It’s disgusting — aren’t we grown here?” Lowell said. “Do you guys not realize that people can be skinny-shamed? It’s not just, like, a fat thing. Skinny people can be shamed too, and it’s horrible. Knock it off.”
Meanwhile, Baltierra often shares about his own fitness journey online. In 2022, he began posting updates as he worked to lose weight and get fitter.
“OFFICIALLY DONE with this cut & I managed to drop 24 POUNDS while maintaining the strength I built while I was gaining!” he wrote in August 2022 alongside images of his body transformation.
In July 2023, he shared before-and-after photos on Instagram that showed how his body composition had changed.
“PROGRESSION > PERFECTION,” he captioned the post. “1 year apart & sitting at the same weight in each pic. This is why the scale isn’t as important as overall body composition.”
Baltierra added, “I still have a long way to go until reaching my goals, but I like to post my progress as a reminder to myself of where I started, how far I’ve come, & why I keep putting in the work!”
