The 79th Annual Tony Awards will take place on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Ahead of the awards, InStyle gathered the eight most iconic looks to grace the Tony's red carpet, below.

The Tony Awards return to Radio City Music Hall in New York City for the 22nd time this Sunday, June 7, 2026. Hosted by Pink, this year's lineup promises several milestone performances, including a tribute to the 30th anniversary of "Chicago" and the 50th anniversary of "Rent," respectively. The top two nominees are "The Lost Boys" and "Schmigadoon!," leading the pack with 12 nominations each. And, for the first time since 2002, the stars in the running for best leading actress are all first-time nominees, per NBC New York.

Before we get carried away by this year's glitz and glamour, we're due for a look back at previous years' best-dressed attendees. From Lucy Liu's sweeping butter yellow gown in 2016, to Marin Mazzie's rhinestone-encrusted naked dress in 1998 and Cynthia Erivo's sculptural two-piece set in 2025, the red carpet has been home to countless showstopping moments.

Ahead, find the eight best Tony Awards looks of all time, from 1967 on.
