Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey are sharing wedding guest behavior that they found inconsiderate.

As they were reflecting on an episode of The Office in which Fischer’s character, Pam, struggles to get RSVPs to her and Jim (John Krasinski)’s wedding, the former costars began venting about getting texts from wedding guests on the morning of their own weddings on the Sunday, Oct. 4, episode of their podcast, Office Ladies.

Fischer, 52, and Kinsey, 55, said they found Pam’s struggle to get a head count “so relatable.”

“Will you just RSVP, people? Just RSVP!” Kinsey said.

In the episode, Meredith (Kate Flannery) tells Pam she’ll RSVP the day of the wedding, illustrating how frustrating it can be when guests refuse to commit ahead of time. In real life, both Fischer and Kinsey received questions from guests they didn’t appreciate.

“Did you get texts on the day of your wedding? Because I did,” said Fischer, who has been married to screenwriter Lee Kirk since 2010. She was previously married to filmmaker James Gunn from 2000 until their separation in 2007, with their divorce finalized in 2008.

She continued, “I was like, ‘You may not be my friend anymore, person who texted me on my wedding morning to ask me about, like, parking instructions.’ ”

Kinsey confirmed that she received unwanted texts, too.

“I got a text the morning of my wedding about, ‘Would this outfit be appropriate? What’s the attire again? Is it real fancy, or could I wear something casual?’ ” she remembered.

The actresses said only certain people get wedding text privilege.

“See, now listen. Ange, if you text me the morning of my wedding to ask me a question, that’s fine,” Fischer said, to which Kinsey responded, “But you know what? I wouldn’t. That’s the difference.”

“BFFs get a pass,” Fischer continued. Kinsey agreed, saying, “BFFs do get a pass, but they also know better.”

The women encouraged wedding guests with questions to “text another wedding guest,” anyone but the couple getting married.

“Text another wedding guest. You know someone who’s going,” Fischer said. “Text your most reliable friend who saved the invitation.”

“Text the friend you know in the wedding party,” Kinsey suggested.

Bottom line, Fischer said: “Leave the bride and groom alone.”
