Isabel Timerman spoke with PEOPLE exclusively about her Keeping Up with the Kardashians find on Depop that she purchased for $6

The TikTok creator revealed that she wasn't looking for the item when she stumbled upon it

The shirt in question is a long-sleeve piece from Free People, famously worn by Kim Kardashian during an episode in 2008

Imagine thrift shopping and stumbling upon an item made famous by Kim Kardashian.

Well, that's exactly what happened to Isabel Timerman, a superfan of the Kardashian-Jenner family who found the same striped shirt that was sported by the SKIMS creator on Depop and shared her fashionable find on TikTok.

Timerman, 28, tells PEOPLE exclusively that she was "not at all" looking for the iconic T-shirt in question, rather it just "popped up" on her Depop Explore page. "I recognized it instantly and bought it immediately," she says.

The shirt in question made its Keeping Up with the Kardashians debut in season 2 episode 7, titled, "Kardashian Civil War," which sees Kim wearing the multi-colored long-sleeve from Free People as she memorably swings her purse at her sister Khloé Kardashian.

"Don’t be f------ rude!" shouts a designer bag-wielding Kim in an attempt to hit Khloé, who was in the middle of eating her Chipotle. Her sister's performative anger has solidified a spot at the pop culture table in the almost two decades since the episode debuted on E! in 2008.

The shirt was extra special for Timerman, who tells PEOPLE that "nothing compares" to the early seasons of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Specifically, she referenced the "fight over the Bentley" scene (aka, the "don't be f—ing rude scene) as one of her favorites.

The content creator, who goes by "Isabelunhinged" on TikTok, modeled the item for her followers in a video she made to share the exciting news of her find and share context around the shirt for those who weren't familiar with its Kardashian origins.

"As a Y2K historian, this is a piece of history," she says in the clip, before concluding her video with a swing at her camera like Kim unforgettably did to an unfazed Khloé in the episode, and recited the quote sans the expletive.

Timerman, who hails from New York, was in shock when she came across the shirt online. When she slipped it on for the first time, the feeling was incomparable for the big-time fan.

"It honestly felt like a high," she tells PEOPLE. "I couldn’t believe I found it so randomly, and putting it on felt surreal, like stepping into a piece of pop culture history. It belongs in a museum."

Aside from her ability to identify the specific shirt and remember the moment in pop culture where it had been worn, among the most shocking parts about it is the fact that the Free People item sold for $6 on Depop.

The long-sleeve shirt is Timerman's first Kardashian-related item added to her closet. However, she has purchased a few Kardashian-adjacent items.

"I do own a few dresses that belonged to Paris Hilton from the 2000s, which feels very of the same era," she reveals. "I love the Kardashians deeply, but Paris will always be my number one girl."

Timerman's find is even more special given her personal history as a longtime Kardashian fan.

"I started watching in 2007 after my older sister introduced me to the show. I was 10, and we’d watch it together at my grandma’s house. No one really knew who they were yet, but we were obsessed. I was a very early fan, they honestly raised me in a way," she says.

"I loved their humor, especially Khloé’s," she shares. "At the time, people constantly called the show 'trash,' but I always felt like they just didn’t get it. This family had something really special."

She adds, "Looking back, my tween instincts were pretty spot on."

Her fandom for the family runs so deep that she once created a fan page dedicated to Khloé on X back when it was Twitter (that got the attention of the Good American founder) and placed a few calls to DASH, back when the sisters still owned their boutique. One time, when she was just 11, she even got Kourtney on the phone while asking for Kim.

"No one ever believes this, but I swear it’s true," Isabel says of the memorable interaction.
