WASHINGTON, April 1 (Reuters) - The U.S. International Trade Commission ‌said on Wednesday that ‌it has opened a Section 337 ​patent violation investigation into certain Roku and Hisense brand display devices, streaming players and ‌components.

The USITC ⁠said in a statement that the petitioner in ⁠the case is Las Vegas-based InnoTV Labs LLC, which ​alleged that ​its ​patens were violated ‌by devices and components imported by San Jose, California-based Roku Inc, Purple Tag Media Technology Shanghai Ltd and Qingdao, ‌China-based Hisense Visual ​Technology Co and ​related ​companies.

InnoTV Labs has requested ‌that the USITC ​issue a ​limited exclusion order and cease and desist orders against ​the ‌imports, the panel said.
