What to know before seeing 'The Mandalorian and Grogu?' A quick catch-up

If you're ready for The Mandalorian and Grogu but are worried you might not remember exactly where we last saw these two in the galaxy far, far away, fear not.

Let's do a quick refresh on where we last found Mando and Grogu (Baby Yoda) after the third season of the hit Star Wars show concluded in spring 2023.

Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin (the titular Mandalorian) and Grogu settled for a (somewhat) quiet life on the planet Nevarro, where his old ally Greef Karga (the late, great Carl Weathers) is the High Magistrate.

Mando feels comfortable to finally kick his feat back a bit, both literally and figuratively, after his people retook the planet Mandalore from the evil Moff Gideon and the Imperial forces that occupied it. Gideon seemingly bites the dust as Djarin and fellow Mandalorian warrior Bo-Katan lead the Mando forces to victory.

After all that hubbub, Djarin officially adopts Grogu as his son and devotes his life to hunting down Imperial bad guys for the New Republic. Then, they settle for Nevarro's idyllic countryside... at least between missions.
