It is *not* on for *Camp Rock* alum Alyson Stoner.
The 32-year-old actor and dancer, who starred in the Disney Channel franchise's first two movies, confirmed that they aren't in the upcoming third movie, which was announced on Sept. 17 and is already underway in Vancouver.
When asked by *E! News* about *Camp Rock 3,* Stoner, who is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns, revealed that they hadn't heard anything beyond the news of the threequel, dashing hopes that their character Caitlyn Geller would make a return with the Jonas Brothers.

"I haven't heard anything beyond that, but that sounds exciting," Stoner told the outlet during a panel at the 2025 *Teen Vogue* Summit. "I'm guessing it'll be maybe similar to what they did with *High School Musical*, where maybe they introduce a new generation. That's what I'm assuming. But cool. Sounds great."
Stoner hit the nail on the head when it comes to the film's premise. *Camp Rock 3*, which comes 15 years after the franchise supposedly concluded with *Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam*, will kick off with the JoBros' onscreen band Connect 3 heading back to the titular music camp to find a new opening act for their reunion tour.
The story will primarily center around a new generation of campers competing for that coveted tour slot, including Sage (*Descendants: Wicked Wonderland*'s Liamani Segura), her brother Desi (newcomer Hudson Stone), resident bad boy Fletch (*Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires*' Malachi Barton), drummer Cliff (*The Thundermans: Undercover*'s Casey Trotter), cellist Rosie (*The Fallout*'s Lumi Pollack), choreographer Callie (*Classroom Confidential*'s Brooklynn Pitts), and influencer Madison (*Holiday Twist*'s Ava Jean).
All three Jonas Brothers will return to guest-star as their fictional band, and the siblings will executive produce the project.

While Stoner's revelation seems to dash any hopes of her reprising her onscreen role, the Movement Genius founder said they wouldn't be opposed to helping out with the film. "Let me know if you need a coordinator on set," they quipped.
Stoner isn't the only alum that won't be making a return for the third film. Although Demi Lovato is executive producing the project alongside Nick, Kevin, and Joe Jonas, her iconic Mitchie Torres was not announced as part of the returning characters.
However, Maria Canals-Barrera, who played her character's mother in the first two films, is returning for the film. The actress confirmed her return on Instagram, sharing a photo of the cast with the caption, "We're back, campers!"
Veronica Rodriguez is directing, and the movie is written by Eydie Faye, who previously collaborated on Disney+'s *The Slumber Party*. Jamal Sims, whose previous credits include *Hannah Montana: The Movie *and the live-action *Aladdin*, will serve as the choreographer.
The news of the film broke shortly after Lovato and the Jonas Brothers surprised longtime fans when they shared the stage for the first time in over a decade last month during the trio's 20th anniversary tour, *JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown *tour.
The singer joined the boys onstage halfway through "Gotta Find You" to perform her part of their iconic duet, as well as "This Is Me" from the first movie and "Wouldn't Change a Thing" from *Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.*
