Why Beyoncé's fans think a rock album could be the Act III finale
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter appears to be in a period of calm — a pause that suggests she’s both recharging and quietly preparing for her next move.
The Emmy-winning artist wrapped her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour in conjunction with her eighth studio album, "Cowboy Carter," in July. The 32-stadium stint spanned the U.S. and Europe and became the highest grossing country music tour of all time, surpassing $400 million in earnings.
After the tour ended, fans wasted no time in speculating about her "Act III" album.
In July 2022, Beyoncé released her seventh studio album, "Renaissance." The project earned her four Grammys, including best dance/electronic music album, and made her the most decorated artist in Grammy history. She later announced the album was part one of a three-act project, making "Cowboy Carter" Act 2.
After Beyoncé released albums in the country and dance categories, there has been growing speculation that the last project in the trilogy could be a rock album. Here are all the signs pointing to her next album being an rock-inspired.
Beyoncé fuels rock album speculation during Halloween 2024
Last year, Beyoncé transformed into the funk-rock diva Betty Davis for Halloween, prompting fans to speculate that a rock album could be next. The "Cowboy Carter" creator shared a post to her Instagram, posing as Davis for Halloween. In the photos Beyoncé rocks a black-and-white-printed bodysuit, white ankle boots and red lipstick, with her hair in a luscious Afro.
