Zendaya Praises Husband Tom Holland for Being 'So Committed' to Spider-Man: 'Nothing Gets Past Him'

Zendaya and Tom Holland know a thing or two about commitment.
The actress, 29, praised her husband for being “so committed” to Spider-Man ahead of the release of their movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
“It definitely wouldn't be the movie that it is without Tom Holland, not just because he's Spider-Man, but because of all the work that he's doing behind the camera,” she said in a video released by Sony Pictures on Thursday, July 2.

“He cares so much about the character. He cares so much about the people who relate and connect to the character, and wants to do justice to Peter Parker’s story and what he means to so many people,” Zendaya continued of Holland, 30, who has played the superhero since 2016.
The Dune star said “nothing gets past” Holland during production.
“He really is so committed and so thoughtful about every aspect of Spider-Man, but Peter Parker too,” she added.
Zendaya and Holland met while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016. After years of relationship rumors, the couple confirmed their relationship in 2021 and announced their engagement in 2025.
The British actor revealed that they tied the knot in a June interview with Esquire U.K. after he was asked about the fake AI wedding photos of him and Zendaya in Lake Como, Italy.

Holland shared that his grandmother saw the photos and thought she hadn't been invited to the wedding. When the outlet asked if he had to send similar messages to other family members, he replied, “No, because they were all there.”

A synopsis for Spider-Man: Brand New Day teases, “It's a brand new day for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn't remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control.”
It continues, “But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves - a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn't forgotten them.”
Zendaya reprises her role as MJ in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo also star.
Holland and the Euphoria actress have shared a few sweet moments while doing press for the upcoming release, including using nicknames and wearing coordinating outfits.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters on July 31.
